Collect your car and decide how much time and energy you have for exploring. Keflavík Airport is the arrival point for this option; it is not one of the numbered attractions. Find airport and car-rental information before setting off.
Explore the western side first
Choose the Keflavík starting option on the map. Bridge Between Continents becomes the first numbered stop, followed by the coast around Valahnúkamöl and Reykjanes Lighthouse. The itinerary runs in the opposite direction to the Reykjavík circle.
Continue toward Reykjavík
Pick from Gunnuhver, Brimketill and the remaining stops along the southern peninsula, checking current access as you plan. Continue toward Seltún and Kleifarvatn before finishing at Perlan in Reykjavík. Add only the detours and walks that fit your day.
You can make it shorter
You do not need to complete every stop after a flight. Choose a few western viewpoints, then plan the onward drive that suits your accommodation and schedule. Use the interactive map to compare the options.
